Dr. John Rogers

Most of John’s career has been in industry, where he has led construction, IT and organisational change programmes. John is currently developing new-build chemical waste management facilities, leading the BIM based design, and the digitalisation of operational activities, including computer vision object tracking. Trained as an Industrial Professor, John also undertakes adjunct teaching and research. He has just completed a book chapter on ‘Rethinking Pathways to Sustainable Built Environment’ that appraises UN SDGs and the knowledge capabilities of firms. John has been country manager for the United Nations Global Compact, and he set-up the Malaysian chapter of the global BIM authority buildingSMART. He has provided advice to the UK and Malaysian governments on trade, disruptive digital technologies and smart cities.
